Wareham is a pretty riverside town where the rivers Frome and Piddle meet, often referred to as the gateway to the Isle of Purbeck.  it is one of the most beautiful, and ancient, riverside towns in the country.  Later in the day we visit the coastal town of Swanage passing the ruins of Corfe Castle.

Enjoy the scenic journey to the beautiful county of Dorset, our first visit of the day is to Wareham, the attractive Saxon walled town that lies between the rivers From and Piddle and has been a market town for over 500 years. Later we depart and head to the ever-popular resort of Swanage, known for its interesting shops, cosy tea rooms, Victorian pier and golden sandy beaches.
